2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that visited websites send and store on the user’s device, to be retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixel tags) are treated identically for the purposes of this policy. Cortalis uses cookies in compliance with the guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) on 10 June 2021 and its subsequent guidance of 9 July 2024, with art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, and with Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy).
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Required for the proper operation of the website. They are exempt from prior consent pursuant to art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and cannot be disabled.

4. Statistics and measurement cookies
Used only with your explicit consent, to understand which content is most useful through
audience measurement. These cookies are managed through Google Analytics 4, loaded via Google
Tag Manager. No statistics cookie is set before your consent: Google Consent Mode v2 is
initialised with analytics_storage set to denied by default, and is
updated only when you accept the statistics category in the consent banner.

Google may transfer data to servers located outside the European Economic Area, including the United States, on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google may set additional analytics cookies described in its own documentation.
5. Marketing and personalisation cookies
Currently not used. This category remains documented in case Cortalis activates promotional campaigns in the future, which would in any case be subject to your explicit prior consent through the consent banner.
6. Managing cookies via your browser
You may also delete or block cookies directly via your browser’s settings. Detailed instructions are available on the official websites of the major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Disabling strictly necessary cookies via your browser may compromise the proper operation of the website.
7. Rights of the data subject
Pursuant to articles 15 to 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you may exercise at any time the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and the right not to be subject to automated decisions. Requests may be sent to the certified email address indicated above.
